Here's the WIP I was supposed to be working on when I got hopelessly distracted by all those lovely pincushions. Well, I finally finished it...clipping and all and got it delivered earlier in the week. YES!
The colors are definitely not me and who wants to work with flannel when it's 7000 degrees outside?! I got some really funny looks at the quilt shop. But it was for a good cause and the recipient is very happy. YAY!
I like rag quilts as they are very quick and extremely forgiving. DH asked where the pattern came from...I told him from the steel sieve of my mind. He didn't get it. Sigh.
Happy quilting, y'all!

It's very cute. I like it!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice job.
ReplyDeleteMy husband like rag quilts because HE likes to do the clipping. Who am I to object to that system?
Love your quilt!!! I have never made a rag quilt, but I love the look of them. BTW...LOVE the "Hey Girl" on your side bar ;-)
ReplyDeleteWish I had someone to do the clipping -- it's the reason I no longer make the rag quilts, even tho they really are fun to make, and wonderful to use :-) Congratulations on your finish!
ReplyDeleteYou were a brave soul!! It turned out fantastic!! Now enjoy the A/C!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Hubby's are funny that way :)
ReplyDeleteNever done a rag quilt. Yours looks great! I'm working on a flannel quilt too--gotta wonder don't ya! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt. Congrats on the finish and your blog cheered me up!
ReplyDeleteI like the colors but I'm a big "blue" person. :) Wow on working with flannel in the heat we've been getting.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Amylouwho. Flannel quilts will be nice to use in the winter --- but definitely not fun with this heat wave! Great job with your finish.
ReplyDeleteCute rag quilt!!! Looks warm and cuddly! Whoop whoop!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone is going to be very lucky to have that quilt to snuggle under! I back all of my quilts with flannel--I love how soft it is (which is also why I keep my flannel sheets on my bed all year long--but I'm from MN and not TX!). I remember sewing the binding on a rather large and heavy quilt, which of course had flannel on the back, on a end of summer trip to Kansas last year--that was HOT! The things we do to get our projects done though :) Thanks for sharing! Rag quilts are the best!
